Tennis legend Rafa Nadal eyes Real Madrid presidency one day
Tennis legend Rafael Nadal has stated he want to succeed Florentino Pérez as Real Madrid president one day however admitted he may not meet the standards for the job.
The 22-time Grand Slam winner — a Madrid fan and honorary membership member — performed his most up-to-date tennis match at January’s Australian Open and has since been out of motion with a hip damage, saying he plans to retire from the game in 2024.

“I haven’t asked [Perez] about it. I think you [the media] get carried away. I don’t think I fulfil the requirements to be [president].”

“Another ahead can be good,” Nadal said. “Am I [waiting for Kylian Mbappé]? Yes I’m. I haven’t got any downside with Mbappé, fairly the alternative. I’d be pleased if he got here … He did not have the duty to return to Madrid once we the followers wished him to.”
