Metal debris breaks through windshield on Maine Turnpike, striking inches from driver’s face
A motorist narrowly escaped damage Tuesday when a bit of metallic crashed into her windshield and got here inside inches of her face, police stated.

The 21-year-old motorist from New Hampshire was following a car that ran over metallic debris on the highway, sending it flying into her Jeep Wrangler on the Maine Turnpike, stated Shannon Moss, spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety. It broke through the windshield simply above the steering wheel.

The sharp piece of metallic struck the windshield and shattered glass, however the motorist was capable of safely pull over, Moss stated. She was handled on the scene for minor accidents.
