Syrian state media mentioned the Israeli military carried out airstrikes in a coastal province on Wednesday, killing two soldiers, wounding six and inflicting materials harm. There was no remark from Israel on the reported strikes.
Syria’s state information company quoted an unnamed army official as saying the missiles hit air protection items in the province of Latakia and that they had been fired by warplanes flying over the Mediterranean Sea.
It was the newest assault since an Israeli airstrike hit the worldwide airport in the city of Aleppo in northern Syria on Aug. 28, damaging a runway and placing it out of service.
