Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated Canadian intelligence businesses are investigating allegations that the federal government of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi could have performed a job in Nijjar’s assassination. 

Trudeau advised Parliament Monday he’d mentioned the matter with Modi on the G-20 final week. He stated he advised Modi that any involvement can be unacceptable and that he requested for cooperation in the investigation.

“Any involvement of a foreign government in the killing of a Canadian citizen on Canadian soil is an unacceptable violation of our sovereignty,” Trudeau stated.

Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly stated the top of Indian intelligence in Canada had been expelled as a consequence.
